2 Foreign nationals arrested on their way to Malawi with dismantled stolen bike
Police in Gqeberha have made progress in their ongoing investigation into motorcycle theft in the Humewood area, arresting two suspects on Wednesday.
Spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg reported that police were patrolling areas in and around Central when they observed two foreign nationals arriving at the Norwich Taxi rank in a white Ford Icon.
The men were unloading wrapped parcels from the vehicle and loading them onto a bus bound for Malawi.Police intervened, conducting a search of the parcels, which led to the discovery of a dismantled Yamaha Super Bike. This bike had been stolen in Humewood earlier in the month.
The suspects, aged 28 and 31, will appear in court on Friday.
